this is the part where I do some humblebragging . . .
I promise to keep it short.
I began my professional career as a preschool teacher and had the privilege of teaching for over six years.
During that time, I started a side hustle — freelance writing, of course — with the (seemingly) far-fetched dream of becoming a #bossbabe.
In a short time frame, my sideline business took off and became a part-time endeavor. And now? It’s my full-time career.
Although I have given up teaching, what I learned continues to guide me today. After all, both knowing your audience is all kinds of important to writers and “if you can’t explain it to a six year old, you don’t understand it yourself” — or so says Albert Einstein.
I could tell you all the things I write about but — spoiler alert! — it’s a lot. Instead, I’ve organized all of my published pieces into a portfolio for easy viewing. Click here for a look-see. If you want to take a peek at my résumé instead, click here.
If you’ve decided you want to work with me (and I definitely hope that you do) or if you have questions, shoot me an email: brittanybrolley(at)gmail(dot)com.
all the best,
